Discover the journey and philosophy behind Cathy Armstrong Wellness. Learn about Cathy's unique approach to integrating mind, body, and spirit in healing trauma and chronic health conditions.

My journey to integrative healing

My passion for healing began in childhood, drawing me to various arts of healing. With over 30 years of experience, I am a licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in Texas, having worked in community settings, schools, psychiatric facilities, and private practice. I maintain both in-person and virtual practices in Corpus Christi, Texas, specializing in the assessment and treatment of anxiety disorders, eating disorders, OCD, acute and chronic Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and women's mental health and wellness. My understanding of trauma and crisis intervention is further deepened by my experience facilitating childbirth classes and working as a birth hypnotherapist and paramedic. Over the years, I have extensively studied interpersonal neurobiology and internal family systems, shaping my comprehensive approach to healing the emotional roots of chronic illness.

A unique approach to your well-being

My counseling style is unique, integrating diverse therapeutic modalities to offer a holistic path to healing. I have deeply studied Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and mindfulness practices, among others, to provide a comprehensive framework for transformation. As a Fellow with the National Board for Clinical, I am committed to upholding the highest standards of professional excellence. I also offer LPC supervision, including the 40-hour LPC supervisor training course, and provide clinical hypnotherapy at the beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels. Clients working with me can expect a compassionate, multidisciplinary approach focused on addressing the emotional roots of chronic illness, fostering resilience, and promoting lasting well-being.

Cultivating lasting change and well-being

I hope my clients experience profound positive changes and transformations. My goal is to empower you to heal the emotional roots of chronic illness, leading to improved physical health and a renewed sense of purpose. Currently, I am expanding my knowledge at Cornell University, studying the science behind plant-based medicine and its role in improving health conditions through healthy eating and lifestyle changes. Additionally, I am a student at Harvard Medical School in the Department of Women's Wellness, where I am obtaining specialized training in women's health. These ongoing studies ensure that I bring the latest evidence-based practices to support your journey toward holistic wellness, helping you achieve a balanced, vibrant, and fulfilling life.
