Finding balance: Your nervous system, your well-being
My work is grounded in interpersonal neurobiology, recognizing that the mind, brain, body, and relationships are deeply interconnected. Emotional patterns, trauma responses, and resilience develop within relational contexts and are shaped by the nervous system. I help people understand what’s happening in their nervous system and gently learn how to restore balance—using science, mindfulness, and body-based therapy.
Your path to regulation and resilience
Neurobiology makes all of it make sense. It legitimizes somatic work, polyvagal-informed therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, and trauma-informed care. Polyvagal theory translates neurobiology into human language, explaining why people get stuck and how safety restores regulation.
Polyvagal theory: The map
Polyvagal theory explains why people get stuck in anxiety, shutdown, or reactivity, and how safety and connection restore regulation. It's the neurobiological map to understanding your adaptive responses.
Somatic therapy: The how
Somatic therapy provides the 'how' for working with the nervous system in real-time through body awareness, sensation tracking, grounding, and regulation skills. It's about felt change, not just talk.
Interpersonal neurobiology: The bridge
Interpersonal neurobiology bridges the science of the brain with body-based regulation and relational healing. It explains why relationship heals, integrating present-moment awareness and attachment repair.
Feel safe again: In your body, your relationships, your life
If you're feeling constantly on edge, overwhelmed, or stuck, understand that your nervous system isn't broken—it's adapted. We can work together to restore a sense of safety, reduce overwhelm, and reconnect you with yourself and others.
Who struggles with an unregulated nervous system?
I work with individuals whose nervous systems have adapted to chronic stress, trauma, or loss. This includes people with a history of trauma, chronic anxiety, depression, mood instability, relationship struggles, or those experiencing grief. Often, these are resilient individuals whose systems learned to stay on high alert or shut down to cope. You're not alone, and your body isn't wrong for reacting.
How I help you restore balance
I help people regulate their nervous systems by understanding, not fixing. We work with how your body, brain, and relationships respond to stress, gently integrating body awareness, mindfulness, and neurobiological insights. I don't just teach skills; I regulate with you, fostering attunement and emotional safety. This unique approach allows for insight to become real, lived change.
